Lent Day 28 - Be Faithful
He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. Ephesians 4:16
If you think of your life as a tapestry, how colourful would your picture be? Would the stitches be eye-catching or mostly the edges and background? Of course, it is not completed yet, so what can you do to make it more colourful and more thoughtfully stitched? As the verse suggests, we all have different work to do and so long as we are using our time wisely, our lives will be carefully interwoven with others, so that God’s purpose will be fulfilled in this world.
The back of the tapestry is not a pretty sight, but if the problems of our lives can’t be sorted, they need to be left behind – no one sees the knots or tangles at the back! God knows them, understands our frailties and gives us freedom to stitch different colours.
Let us complete the tapestries of our lives with the unique colours God has given each of us.
